Indian Rocks Rentals - Pet Photo Gallery Be sure to visit our pet photo gallery and check out some of our furry and feathered friends who have come to stay with us from all around the country.
Pet-Friendly Parks & Recreation Indian Rocks Beach is a pet-friendly town and offers a leash-free city dog park just down the road from our vacation rental homes - a great place for social dogs to play & owners to meet like-minded friends. Pinellas County Parks & Recreation also offers several lovely parks throughout the county that are dog-friendly. The Pinellas County Trail is also pet-friendly and a great way for you and your canine friend to take in some sites and get some quality exercise. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed on most Pinellas County public beaches. The Belleair Causeway dog beach is currently closed due to construction of the new Belleair bridge. It is scheduled to reopen in the spring of 2010. Note: Currently, the only Pinellas County park where dogs are allowed on the beach is the dog park at Ft. De Soto park.
Doggie Dining Indian Rocks Beach Officials OK'd the Doggie Dining ordinance for establishments within the City that have outdoor decks, patios or garden areas. Read more about it here.
Veterinary Care We know you and your pet will enjoy the time you spend together in Indian Rocks Beach and hope that your visit is a happy and healthy one... Unfortunately, sometimes our pets can become a bit stressed during travel and may show signs of feeling a bit under-the-weather. No need to worry, we have two excellent Veterinary Hospitals nearby, if needed:
Pet Safety During Travel For your pet's safety, please make sure your pet has a current Identification Tag on their collar (before traveling). We have found several dogs wandering in our neighborhood over the years, that have somehow gotten separated from their owners after a move or while on vacation. It was their ID tags that made it possible for us to reunite them with their owners. If by chance you become separated from your pet while in Pinellas county, you may want to contact the following local agencies for help in locating them: Pinellas County Animal Services Other pet-finder resources: LostDogSearch.com
Pet-Friendly Hurricane Evacuation Shelters There are three pet-friendly evacuation shelters located throughout Pinellas County; Thurgood Marshall Middle School in St. Petersburg, Oak Grove Middle School in Clearwater and Dunedin Middle School in Dunedin. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Pre-register by calling (727) 582-2150. Please be sure to check which shelters are opened, as all shelters may not be opened during an evacuation. All pets are required to be crated while at the shelter.

Our Pet Policy
We love pets, and offer 3 pet friendly homes for our responsible pet-owner guests to choose from. So pack-up your canine, feline or feathered friends and bring them along. We require all pets to be listed on the rental agreement at the time of signing. Two weeks prior to your stay we require a note from your vet verifying that your pet is current with all of their vaccines, licenses, prescription heartworm, flea, and tick medications. Please email or call us if you have additional questions regarding our pet policy.
Each pet friendly home has a fenced yard for your canine friend. There is also a neighborhood leash-free dog park available for your enjoyment during your visit. We also have two excellent animal hospitals nearby so your pet is never far from medical help if needed.
