Indian Rocks Beach City Parks... The City of Indian Rocks Beach has long been considered a facilities-rich community as evidenced by miles of pristine beach, numerous parks and a great many recreational facilities such as tennis courts, basketball courts, a ball field, leash-free pet park, and the City's most recent addition, a state of the art skateboard park. The nonprofit Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary, Inc. is the largest wild bird hospital and bird sanctuary in the t;/span>United States, based on the admission of up to 8,000 birds per year. For over 38 years, the Sanctuary has helped injured wild birds. The Sanctuary's mission is dedicated to the rescue, repair & rehabilitation of injured birds and then their release back into nature. Open 365 days a year - 9:00 am to Sunset - Admission is always FREE.
Sun-N-Fun Air Show in Lakeland, Florida... (Day Trip) A great event for the whole family. This air show is held every year in the springtime and features pilots and aircraft from all over the country. If you happen to be visiting IRB in the springtime, this is an event that is worth the hour-and-a-half drive from IRB to Lakeland, Florida!
