Indian Rocks Beach Parks | Playgrounds | Historical Markers

All of our city parks and playgrounds are maintained by the Indian Rocks Beach Public Services Department - Parks Division. The Parks Division is responsible for the maintenance of over 37 +/- acres of parkland in the City of Indian Rocks Beach. The Parks Division manages all landscapes, streetscapes and hardscapes outside all city facilities. Major operations include: grounds maintenance, hardscape maintenance, special event support, holiday decorations, playground inspection and care, streetscape maintenance, irrigation repair, and landscape design and construction. Indian Rocks Beach Tennis Courts

The City offers two tennis court locations for residents/property owners and visitors alike. The Kolb Park tennis courts (which are lighted) may be used by residents/property owners and visitors, and the Brown Park tennis courts are restricted to use by residents/property owners only. The courts are accessible by keyed entry only. To obtain keys for the Kolb Park courts, please contact your property owner/ host.

Indian Rocks Beach Pavillions & Gazebos

The City offers multiple picnic pavilions and gazebo's located throughout the City. Use of the facilities are non-exclusive daily, however the facilities may be reserved through the City Clerk's office at 727-517-0204.


Indian Rocks Beach Handicap Accessible Parks & Playground Equipment 

The City offers two handicap accessible parks (playgrounds) located at: Kolb Park - (16th Avenue & Bay Palm Boulevard) and 10th Avenue Park - (10th Avenue & Bay Pine Boulevard). 

Indian Rocks Beach Shuffle Board Equipment

Residents/property owners and visitors may obtain the shuffle board equipment through the Public Services Department (free of charge) Monday through Friday, 7:00 A.M. - 3:30 P.M.

10th Avenue Park | Playground

Located on the south-side of 10th Avenue and is east of Gulf Blvd. This park features a fenced-in area with children's play equipment and a covered picnic pavilion. The 10th Avenue Park also has boardwalk access to the IRB Nature Preserve, where you can access restrooms, drinking fountains and water views of the intracoastal waterway.

12th Avenue Park

Park Amenities: The 12th Avenue Park is located at 10th Avenue and Gulf Blvd. in Indian Rocks Beach, on the west-side of Gulf Blvd. This park is the perfect place to visit when you're out for a casual stroll through the city. The park features a short walking path, benches and a pergola surrounded by tropical landscaping. A great place to stop, rest, enjoy some sunshine, and breathe-in some fresh salt-air.

15th Avenue Resident Boat Launch Park

Located on Gulf Boulevard between 9th Avenue & 10th Avenue. This boat launch ramp is reserved for local residents and requires a permit from City Hall. Parking is not permitted at the 15th Ave launch.

1st Street Boardwalk Park

The 1st Street Boardwalk Park is located on 1st Street in Indian Rocks Beach and is just south of the Walsingham Bridge. Access to this park can be gained from Gulf Blvd. & 2nd Avenue. This park consists mainly of a small boardwalk that is positioned to provide beautiful views of the inter-coastal waterway.

Brown Park | Playground

Located at Bay Boulevard & 2nd Street in Indian Rocks Beach. Brown Park features a fully fenced area, covered pavilion with picnic tables, which is perfect for a low-key picnic with your family or friends. The park also has free parking, a tennis court, basketball court, and children's playground equipment. This park is pet-friendly; offering free pet cleanup bags and trash cans for safe waste/garbage disposal. Brown Park tennis courts are restricted to use by residents & property owners only. The courts are accessible by keyed entry only. To obtain keys for the Kolb Park courts, please contact your property host.

Chief Chic-A-Si Park

Chic-A-Si Park Amenities:Chief Chick-a-Si Park is located south of the Walsingham Bridge at 4th Avenue & 2nd Street in Indian Rocks Beach (across the street from the IRB Post Office and next to the IRB Historical Museum). Chick-a-Si Park offers a covered public transit hub, large grass area, covered gazebo pavilion, picnic tables and a Bocci Ball court. This park is a wonderful place to have a family reunion, gather with friends, or hold a casual outdoor wedding & reception.

Historic Haven Beach Yacht Basin

Enjoy a little walk through history by visiting...The Historic Haven Beach Yacht Basin located on the East side of Gulf Blvd. just North of Walsingham Bridge (688). This sight is marked by an informational sign denoting the important history of the location. You will find additional historic signs for the old Indian Rocks Bridge (located in the Narrows), the old Indian Rocks Beach Pier (12th Avenue), and the Indian Rocks History Museum Cottage (4th Avenue). 

Indian Rocks Beach Nature Preserve & Boardwalk Park

Located on Gulf Boulevard between 9th Avenue & 10th Avenue. This park features public restrooms, drinking fountains and a lovely, mostly shaded boardwalk that winds through the mangroves along the intracoastal waterway. You'll enjoy the views during your stroll on the boardwalk, and learn about the local wildlife from informational signage along the way. Resting & viewing benches are incorporated along the way and offer a relaxing space to observe the flora, fauna and local wildlife species that call this park their home.

Indian Rocks Beach Leash-Free Dog Park

Located on Gulf Boulevard between 9th Avenue & 10th Avenue in the Nature Preserve Park. This fenced-in park offers residents, visitors, and their furry friends a place to gather, socialize and mingle. The park boasts numerous dog-friendly ammenities including: water fountains, dog wash facilities, sun shades, seating areas, and pooch-friendly play features. Open to the public - no permit required. Keegan Clair Park | Playground | Public Boat Docks

Located at 3rd Avenue & 1st Street and Miami Ave & 2nd Street near the IRB Fire Station and IRB History Museum. This park offers several public boat docks, a childrens playground, picnic area and beautiful views of the intracoastal waterway.

Kolb Park | Playground

Located on Bay Palm Boulevard between 15th Avenue & 16th Avenue in Indian Rocks Beach (across from City Hall, IRB Library and the Beach Art Center). This is the largest of all of the IRB City Parks, and features a baseball field, tennis courts, a skate park, restrooms, drinking fountain, racquetball court, shuffleboard court, covered pavilion, picnic tables, and two oak-shaded children's playground equipment areas. Kolb Park also houses a recycling drop-off center across from City Hall.

Indian Rocks Beach Skate Park

Located at Kolb Park (across from City Hall on Bay Palm Blvd. & 15th Avenue). The Skate Park is open to residents/property owners and visitors. Anyone under the age of 17 years and non-residents, are required to obtain a permit through City Hall. All skaters are required to wear a helmet.

Joseph Campalong Baseball Field

Located at Kolb Park (across from City Hall) 15th Avenue & 1st Street. The baseball field is home to little league teems and Senior league teams. When not in use by organizations, it's a great place to spend some time brushing-up on your throwing, patting and catching skills.
