Our Pet Policy
We love pets, and offer 3 pet friendly homes for our responsible pet-owner guests to choose from. So pack-up your canine, feline or feathered friends and bring them along.
We require all pets to be listed on the rental agreement at the time of signing. Two weeks prior to your stay we require a note from your vet verifying that your pet is current with all of their vaccines, licenses, prescription heartworm, flea, and tick medications. In addition, all guests are personally responsible for cleaning-up after their pets (whether on our property, or during a walk around the neighborhood). Please email or call us if you have additional questions regarding our pet policy.
Each pet friendly home has a fenced yard for your canine friend. There is also a neighborhood leash-free dog park available for your enjoyment during your visit, and the Belleair Bridge Dog Beach is just around the corner. We also have two excellent animal hospitals nearby so your pet is never far from medical help if needed.
Our Smoking Policy
Many of our homes have private yards, patios, or outdoor deck areas where smoking is permitted.
Smoking is NOT permitted inside any of our homes.
This policy is strictly enforced, and violation of this policy will result in immediate early termination of the lease agreement, and forfeiture of your security/damage deposit. If the lease agreement is terminated for violation of this policy, we do not provide refunds for the remainder of the rental term. This applies to all types of smoking tobacco's & herbs. No exceptions!
Our Reservation & Cancellation Policy
We require a 50% reservation deposit and signed rental agreement to hold your desired dates. The balance is due at time of arrival. Cancellation periods are based on several factors, including: time of year, length of stay, etc. Please inquire to find out what our cancellation period is, for your specific, desired dates. Payment is accepted in the form of cash, check, money order or travelers check (USD). Sorry, no credit or debit cards.
It's not, "too good to be true"... it's just modestly priced, we promise!
Beach rentals are rapidly changing on the Gulf coast of Florida. Many of the small, affordable, family and senior friendly, mom & pop motels have been razed and replaced by large, privately owned million dollar condominiums. It is becoming very difficult to find vacation rentals that are affordable on a more modest budget or fixed income.
After searching for rentals and comparing rates, many people call and ask us why our rentals are so "cheap"... they want to know why our rates are so much less than other comparable rentals in our area? Here is why...
We are able to keep our rental rates to a minimum because we have cut costs in the following areas:
1. We do not accept credit cards
2. We advertise very little and rely primarily on referrals
3. We are on-site and maintain the property ourselves (we do not pay a management company).
So, if you are planning a vacation and you think you might like to stay with us, please book your reservation early! We promise you will not be disappointed.
4-01 - 4/30/11 - "Wonderful month at Grandma's Beach Bungalow!! April just flew by and we hate to give it up and head home to NB Canada! Wonderful house; excellent beach and lovely people. The weather has been A+; unlike the terrible storms that hit the U.S. Just 2 thunder storms and they were fun to watch! Even Honey, our dog - 13lbs of American Eskimo, loved it here (and she is a snow dog!) Bought her the small blow-up pool and she enjoyed lazy cool days!! Very hard to go! But we'll be back! Thanks! Eh! - Sandy, Don & Honey, Moncton, NB Canada."
01/2011 - "We really enjoyed our stay here at the bungalow! Rox & Brian are very nice people and very helpful also. But now we must leave and go back to the cold in Tennessee. Even with the unusually cold weather, we were able to get in three days at the beach! - Larry & Cheryl, Fairfield Glade, TN."
12/24-12/30/10 - "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Grandma's Beach House. The weather outside was 30-40 degrees at night and 45-60 degrees during the day. Unseasonably cold - no swimming at the beach! But we have had a nice time regardless. Rox & Brian were so friendly and helpful. If we're ever this way again, we will stay here again! - Tom & Sharon, Burlington, KY."
06/14-06/28/10 - "Thank you for allowing us to stay at your lovely beach house. Our honeymoon has been made even more perfect by having all the amenities. Whether in the car or on foot, the local people are so polite and courteous, a breath of fresh air, so to speak. Having the beach so close has been great. A morning stroll daily and watching the sunset was lovely and romantic. Thank you. We really hope to come again. - Jan & Mark, from England."
04/02-04/09/2010 - Many thanks for sharing your home with us. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit with our family and all our friends. Your home was a great, comfortable place. - The Otis Family, East Lansing , MI."
02 & 03/2010 - "Absolutely love Grandma's Beach Bungalow! Having so much room this year made it possible for some of our children & grandchildren to fly down and spend some time with us. (Usually we're in the cottage across the street with only 1 bed/ 1 bath - and 1 TV). Even though it was much cooler than usual this year, we had a great time. IRB is a lovely community with friendly people and wonderful places to eat! I love the way the house is decorated - especially the cool beach house colors. Thank you for allowing us to call this our home this winter. - Mike & Jan, Coopersville, MI."
06/09 - "The Augustenburg/Plummer family enjoyed a wonderful stay in Grandma's Beach Bungalow. Little Sebastian (10 mos. old) had his first beach experience here - delightful for everyone, and Lexi celebrated her 32nd birthday. Thank you for providing such a cozy environment for our family to be together, we will treasure the memories!."
02/09 - "Had a great month, even though the weather wasn't great the first week. Great restaurants & shopping. Love the house. Quiet town but very friendly. Hopefully we will be back real soon as we really like the whole area. - Bob, Nellie & Ginny."
03-08 - "Another season on Indian Rocks Beach has come to an end. We had a wonderful time with great friends. We will be back, we love this are. - Mr. & Mrs. D. Chatigny."
06/25/07 - " A great place, beautifully decorated with all the comforts of home. The beach is so close and so clean and walking to restaurants is so easy! I had a wonderful time and look forward to a return visit. - F. Steward, Oklahoma City, OK."
03/27/07 - "Loved Indian Rocks Beach and loved GBB! Hate to leave... This is a great little beachy town, and GBB is a great place to call "home" while visiting here. We came here for Spring Training (go Phils!), and just to spend some time in FL with the kids (3 & %). Often we'd be driving back--either from a Phillies game, or Busch Gardens, or wherever, and the kids would ask" are we going home?", we would have to ask which one- our home in PA, or our home in Florida! Loved It!! (Notes: Good food at Red Lion & Guppy's) - Randy, Melissa, Micah & Emma, Pennsburg, PA."
03/13/07 - Left Sudbury, Ontario and it was -30 degrees. Flight out of Buffalo cancelled due to fog, flew out next day. Landed in warm evening, spent next day at beach! Great accommodations here, peaceful, even washing machine is quiet! - Paul, Linda, J.D., Leah, Becky of Sault STE Marie".
01/28 - 3/08/07 - " Our second honeymoon. Indian Rocks Beach and Grama's Beach House are truly a great find! We loved the special touches and the feel of the 50's. Great vibes at this little house. - Carolyn & Jan, Nova Scotia, Canada."
1/16/07 - "What a lovely home, great beach and a fabulous time with friends. Thanks for the great memories in a warm setting. Unforgettable. - Brooke, Smithville, Texas"
01/07 - What a cozy and cute place! Don't want to leave! Quiet & peaceful beach. We had a wonderful time, and will come back again! - Karla, Snowy & cold, Colorado."
01/07 - " What a great little bungalow with all the amenities of home. Had a great time exploring - think Indian Rocks Beach has the best beach along the coast. The Brass Monkey in John's Pass (south) is a must for great service and good food; as is Crabby Bill's in St. Pete! See you next year (or maybe sooner). - Dayna, Littleton, CO."
Ride the Beach Trolley...
Our Indian Rocks Beach vacation rentals are all conveniently located and within walking or bike-riding distance to: shopping, dining, live entertainment, parks, tennis, fishing, churches, hair/nail/massage salons, public boat launch, and the Beach Trolley stop.
For your convenience, we offer 2 adult beach cruiser bicycles and a couple of 2-person kayaks; available for your use during your stay with us. The Beach Trolley is equipped with a bicycle carrier, and is a great way to get out and explore some of the neighboring beach towns or nearby mainland towns, via the Pinellas Trail.
Indian Rocks Beach has several lovely parks scattered throughout the city. All of the parks are located within walking or bike-riding distance of our rental homes. Pack your picnic basket and spend the day exploring all of the wildlife that call these parks their home. Many of our parks have covered pavilions with picnic tables. Or maybe you prefer to dine under a large oak tree, or to enjoy your meal on a sunny dock overlooking the intracoastal waterway? Whatever your preference or desire, we have a park nearby that will exceed your expectations! The sights, sounds and smells of these wide-open outdoor spaces are sure to calm the nerves and provoke a peaceful, relaxed state-of-mind.
You don't need to "stay on the beach" to "play on the beach". All of our rental homes are just a few minute stroll from their front doors, to having your toes in the warm white sand and crystal blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The City of Indian Rocks Beach maintains 27 beach access parks located all along the main Gulf Blvd. corridor. Four of our homes are just 7 houses away from the 20th Avenue beach access park, one is beachside and has private beach access, and the other is just a few minute stroll to the 17th Avenue beach access park. Limited parking spots are available at these accesses, and if you choose to drive, the trip takes about one-minute.
Take-In the Sights...
Our rental homes are surrounded by the intracoastal waterway to the east, and the Gulf of Mexico to the west. Our kayaks are a great way to get-out on the water and see the city from a different perspective. Take some time and paddle to one of the nearby spoil islands for bird watching, or grab your fishing license and a pole, and head-out past the Gulf buoys for some nearby-off-shore fishing.
Looking for a faster-paced option? Then you might want to rent a boat or waverunner for the day. Or maybe you don't want to be the captain... then you might want to consider taking a sunset dinner cruise. Whatever your preference; you'll find what you're looking for, in IRB!
