Indian Rocks Beach Community Overview

IMG_0722.jpgIRB is a laid-back coastal beach town located on the Gulf coast in central Florida, where residents and visitors of all ages, can kick-back and relax on the beach or enjoy a plethora of physical activities and cultural experiences. It is for this reason that many writers, artists, athletes and retirees have made Indian Rocks Beach their favorite vacation destination and/or home base. IRB is truly a hidden treasure town that has managed to preserve much of the "old Florida" charm and appeal that existed during the tourist boom of the 1950's. The IRB community has always been very warm and welcoming, and enjoys hosting visitors from all over the world. The "locals" are friendly folks that truly enjoy sharing their knowlege of the area and all that it has to offer, while making visitors feel like they fit right in, and/or they've found their "home-away-from-home". This is a small beach town where neighbors wave to each other, residents come together to help each other, and most everyone gives of their time to protect the natural resources and preserve all of the wonders that still exist in this lovely, little, coastal gem of a city. While the city itself is small and generally very quiet and laid-back, all of the ammenities and hustle and bustle of a large city are "just over the bridge", so you're never far from whatever it is that you may desire.
