IRB City Parks

IRRLogoThe City of Indian Rocks Beach offers several lovely public parks for use by residents and visitors. Each park offers different amenities, including: covered picnic shelters, restrooms, tennis courts, basketball courts, playground equipment, boardwalks, nature viewing, water views, benches/picnic benches, bocci ball courts, drinking fountains, parking and pet-waste pickup bags. The City of Indian Rocks Beach has multiple picnic pavilions and gazebo's located throughout the City. Use of the facilities are non-exclusive daily, however the facilities may be reserved through the City Clerk's office at 727-517-0204.

All of our city parks are maintained by the Indian Rocks Beach Public Services Department - Parks Division. The Parks Division is responsible for the maintenance of over 37 +/- acres of parkland in the City of Indian Rocks Beach. The Parks Division manages all landscapes, streetscapes and hardscapes outside all city facilities. Major operations include: grounds maintenance, hardscape maintenance, special event support, holiday decorations, playground inspection and care, streetscape maintenance, irrigation repair, and landscape design and construction. Indian Rocks Beach 10th Avenue Park
10th Avenue Park Amenities: The 10th Avenue Park is located on the south-side of 10th Avenue and is east of Gulf Blvd. This park features a fenced-in area with children's play equipment and a covered picnic pavilion. The 10th Avenue Park also has boardwalk access to the IRB Nature Preserve, where you can access restrooms, drinking fountains and water views of the intracoastal waterway. This is a free public park that is maintained by our local IRB City government. 
Indian Rocks Beach 12th Avenue Park
Park Amenities: The 12th Avenue Park is located at 10th Avenue and Gulf Blvd. in Indian Rocks Beach, on the west-side of Gulf Blvd. This park is the perfect place to visit when you're out for a casual stroll through the city. The park features a short walking path, benches and a pergola surrounded by tropical landscaping. A great place to stop, rest, enjoy some sunshine, and breathe-in some fresh salt-air. This is a free public park  that is maintained by our local IRB City government. 
Indian Rocks Beach 1st street Boardwalk
Park Amenities: The 1st Street Boardwalk Park is located on 1st Street in Indian Rocks Beach and is just south of the Walsingham Bridge. Access to this park can be gained from Gulf Blvd. & 2nd Avenue. This park consists mainly of a small boardwalk that is positioned to provide beautiful views of the inter-coastal waterway. 
Indian Rocks Beach 24th Ave & Bay Park

The 24th Avenue & Bay Blvd. Park is located on the east side of Bay Blvd. at 24th Avenue. This park has two benches that overlook the intracoastal waterway. This is a pet-friendly park that provides pet-waste bags, trash receptacle and a nice shaded, grassy area.

This park is a great place to do a little fishing or to take a break in the shade while you're out for a stroll. 

Indian Rocks Beach Brown Park

Brown Park Amenities: Brown Park is Located at Bay Boulevard & 2nd Street in Indian Rocks Beach. Brown Park features a fully fenced area, covered pavilion with picnic tables, which is perfect for a low-key picnic with your family or friends. The park also has free parking, a tennis court, basketball court, and children's playground equipment. This park is pet-friendly; offering free pet cleanup bags and trash cans for safe waste/garbage disposal. 

Indian Rocks Beach Chief Chic-A-Si Park
Park Amenities:
Chief Chick-a-Si Park is located south of the Walsingham Bridge at 4th Avenue & 2nd Street in Indian Rocks Beach (across the street from the IRB Post Office and next to the IRB Historical Museum). Chick-a-Si Park offers a covered public transit hub, large grass area, covered gazebo pavilion, picnic tables and a Bocci Ball court. This park is a wonderful place to have a family reunion, gather with friends, or hold a casual outdoor wedding & reception.
Indian Rocks Beach Keegan Clair Park
Park Amenities: Keegan Clair Park is located south of the Walsingham Bridge at 3rd Avenue & 1st Street and Miami Avenue & 2nd Street. Keegan Clair Park features 3 dock-like boardwalks overlooking the intercoastal waterway, individual covered picnic tables, and large, open grassy area. Discussions are currently underway to possibly add boat slips to this location in the future. 
Indian Rocks Beach Nature Preserve Park
Nature Preserve Park Amenities: The IRB Nature Preserve is located off of Gulf Boulevard between 9th Avenue & 10th Avenue in Indian Rocks Beach. The Nature Preserve Park features public restrooms, free parking, pay phone, leash-free dog park, covered picnic pavilions, and a nature boardwalk which includes information about the local species, that can be viewed from the boardwalk. The boardwalk also leads to the 12th Avenue park where children can enjoy the fenced-in area & playground equipment (swings, slides, etc.). 
Indian Rocks Beach Skate Park
The City of Indian Rocks Beach Skate Park which is located at Kolb Park (across from City Hall), may be utilized by residents/property owners and visitors alike, however anyone under the age of 17 years and non-residents, are required to obtain a permit through City Hall. City Hall is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. All skaters are required to wear a helmet.

Ride the Beach Trolley...

IRBbeachtrolley1Our Indian Rocks Beach vacation rentals are all conveniently located and within walking or bike-riding distance to: shopping, dining, live entertainment, parks, tennis, fishing, churches, hair/nail/massage salons, public boat launch, and the Beach Trolley stop.

For your convenience, we offer 2 adult beach cruiser bicycles and a couple of 2-person kayaks; available for your use during your stay with us. The Beach Trolley is equipped with a bicycle carrier, and is a great way to get out and explore some of the neighboring beach towns or nearby mainland towns, via the Pinellas Trail.

Pack your picnic basket and spend the day exploring all of the wildlife that call these parks their home. Many of our parks have covered pavilions with picnic tables. Or maybe you prefer to dine under a large oak tree, or to enjoy your meal on a sunny dock overlooking the intracoastal waterway? Whatever your preference or desire, we have a park nearby that will exceed your expectations! The sights, sounds and smells of these wide-open outdoor spaces are sure to calm the nerves and provoke a peaceful, relaxed state-of-mind.

Play On The Beach...

beachplayYou don't need to "stay on the beach" to "play on the beach". All of our rental homes are just a few minute stroll from their front doors, to having your toes in the warm white sand and crystal blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The City of Indian Rocks Beach maintains 27 beach access parks located all along the main Gulf Blvd. corridor. Four of our homes are just 7 houses away from the 20th Avenue beach access park, one is beachside and has private beach access, and the other is just a few minute stroll to the 17th Avenue beach access park. Limited parking spots are available at these accesses, and if you choose to drive, the trip takes about one-minute.

Take-In the Sights...

kayakingOur rental homes are surrounded by the intracoastal waterway to the east, and the Gulf of Mexico to the west. Our kayaks are a great way to get-out on the water and see the city from a different perspective. Take some time and paddle to one of the nearby spoil islands for bird watching, or grab your fishing license and a pole, and head-out past the Gulf buoys for some nearby-off-shore fishing.

Looking for a faster-paced option? Then you might want to rent a boat or waverunner for the day. Or maybe you don't want to be the captain... then you might want to consider taking a sunset dinner cruise. Whatever your preference; you'll find what you're looking for, in IRB!
